Great Last-Minute Costume Ideas

Welcome back witches, ghoulies, and ghosts! Run out of ideas for the spookiest day of the year? Need a cute costume you can throw together at the last minute? Don't worry, DSJ has got you covered with these quick and easy last-minute Halloween costume ideas.

First up, Eddie Munson and Chrissy Cunningham from Stranger Things season four. As two of the newest fan-favorite characters on the hit TV show, they will no doubt be a Halloween costume staple this year. For a third person, you can add Dustin to your posse, and for an alternate duo do Steve and Eddie.

Get fun and creative with this next character, Joy Wang/JobuTupaki from the hit movie Everything Everywhere All at Once. Joy wears several kooky and interesting outfits throughout the film which gives you lots of flexibility to use whatever you have in your closet. Make sure you get creative with your hair and makeup, too!

If you happen to own a lot of pink, grab your cowboy hat and boots and take a page out of Margot Robbie's book and dress up as Cowboy Barbie! For an alternate costume, grab some skates and a pink bodysuit for Roller Disco Barbie.

For either a group or individual costume, look no further than the classic Hanna-Barbara Mystery Gang! What's great about these costumes is they easily break down into groups of two and three for any group of trick-or-treaters. Go as Daphne and Fred, Daphne and Velma, Scooby and Shaggy, or any other combination.

These next costumes are creepy and they're kooky, mysterious, and spooky! That's right, it’s horror’s most famous family, the Addams Family. Another group costume that can break down into smaller groups, simply bust out your best black clothing to complete this look.

Going out with the ladies? Dress up as Tinker Bell and her friends from Fairy Hollow. To do these costumes, dress in each girl’s signature color and throw on some fairy wings.

Strike first, strike hard, and show no mercy when donning these next costumes from The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai. Get a gi and either paint a cobra on it for the Cobra Kai Dojo or grab a blue and white headband to declare allegiance to Miyagi-Do.

For a non-media-related costume, dress up as a 50s housewife with a twist. Don a 50s-style dress and apron and splatter them in blood. Add gloves and some pearls as accessories. Then, use a fake knife to complete the outfit of a murderous 50s housewife.

For a great friends’ costume dress up as the Pines Twins! Their signature hat and sweater can easily be procured on Etsy. For a group with more people add Wendy, Soos, and Grunkle Stan to your group.

And, last but not least, bust out the aviators and the flight suit to dress as a Top Gun pilot. You can be anyone from Goose to Iceman to Hangman to Pete "Maverick" Mitchell himself. For added points grow a mustache!
